Rob Chambers is a 28-year
veteran of the automobile business. He began his
career in 1980 in a car dealership accounting
office and moved forward to hold such positions
such as Salesperson, F&I manager, Sales
Manager, Pre-Owned Manager, General Sales Manager,
General Manager, and Fixed Operations Manager in
both domestic and import franchises. Over the
duration of Rob's dealership career, he received
numerous awards, such as Ford Motor Company's
Sales Managers Guild and awards for sales goals
and CSI achievements.
After a stellar
career in variable operations, Rob accepted an
opportunity to work as a Fixed Operations Manager
overseeing Service, Parts, and a Collision Center.
Recognizing that Customer Service and Sales are
the Key to growth in these departments; to this
day Rob will tell you, "This is where I really
earned my stripes".
Since that opportunity,
the past 10 years of Rob's career have been
focused on dealership employee training. This led
him to leave the dealership and accept a
consulting and training role with a nationally
recognized technology and consulting company. Rob
traveled nationwide visiting hundreds of
dealerships. Most of the visits allowed for shared
learning of Best Practices, while others required
immediate change. This is where Rob utilized his
knowledge from each new experience to provide
first-class consulting. During this time, Rob
received awards such as Employee of the Year,
Consultant of the Year, Presidents Club, and
Creating Life-Long Customers
Award.
Harnessing his ability to facilitate
Process Improvement teams and develop training
programs has been the most rewarding for Rob's
career. Rob is a subject
matter expert for the Reynolds and Reynolds
dealership management system, as well as a subject
matter expert in Dealership Standards and
Metrics.
"I am completely committed to the
fact that car dealership customers are demanding a
higher level of service from dealerships and their
employees." "Dealers that can recruit, train, and
develop processes that improve the customer
experience in their dealerships will prevail over
our current market conditions, no matter the
brand."
